Aishwarya Parthasarathy completed her master’s degree in Electrical and Biomedical Engineering from University of Florida. She joined the neural coding group to pursue her PhD. For her PhD, she worked on understanding the role of prefrontal cortex in maintaining working memory in the presence of a distractor. She studied the extra-cellular neural activity from simultaneously recorded single neurons in animal prefrontal cortex for her Phd. Currently, as a post-doctoral researcher, she is interested in understanding the role of temporal dynamics of neuronal activity in prefrontal cortex with respect to maintenance of working memory.
