Indu P. Bodala is an NGS PhD Graduate student (2013-Present). She graduated from Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar with B.Tech (Honors) in Electrical Engineering in 2013. She is supervised by Prof. Nitish V. Thakor and is co-supervised by Prof. Anastasios Bezerianos and Prof. Hasan Al-Nashash. Her thesis work involves a detailed study of sustained attention/vigilance decrement in naturalistic tasks such as surveillance or driving. Using EEG and eye tracking approaches, she aims to develop close-loop feedback strategies that can be integrated into dynamic and natural environments to enhance vigilance and cognitive performance. She also aims to study the dynamics of vigilance during human interaction with intelligent machines.
