Yu-Hang Liu is currently working toward his PhD degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering at National University of Singapore. He received his B.S. degree from National Central University, Taiwan, in Electrical Engineering (2008), and his M.S. degree from National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan, in Biomedical Engineering (2010). During his Master studies, he proposed a real-time wireless system of brain computer interface (BCI) for drowsiness detection to help users reduce the risks of fatigue, which was based on EEG and EOG signals for long term monitoring. Currently, Yu-Hang’s research interests include multimodality optical imaging system design, signal processing and embedded system design. He is focusing on development of novel all-optical photoacoustic microscopy and real-time handheld photoacoustic imaging system for in vivo biomedical applications (e.g., ischemic stroke and brain tumor). In addition, he has proposed novel treatments for protecting the damaged area after ischemic insults like ischemia and transient ischemic attack. He has published 10 peer-reviewed SCI journal papers, including IEEE Transactions on Biomedical Engineering, Neurobiology of disease, etc.
